NEWS FROM COUNCIL
A council meeting was held on Tuesday, September 8th.
The new audio equipment is being set up in time for the service on October 4th.
We have a “wish list” that we are compiling with some larger projects for the future and the sound system was on it. We are hoping to slowly cross items off the list.
It is budget time and the committee chairs have been sent the forms to have filled out for October 23rd.

90th ANNIVERSARY
The anniversary for the church was held on Sunday, September 13th. We had many past and present ministers and members attend. It was a wonderful day to celebrate the church.
Pastor Phil Hink, Pastor Rolf Nosterud, Pastor Olaf Traa and DM Lorraine Schrader joined Pastor Matt in communion. Mayor Lars Hansen was also in attendance.
If you haven’t picked up your Getting to Know You Booklet yet, I can put a copy in your mailbox or come in when the office is open to grab it. Also, don’t forget to take a look in the “archive” room in the classroom beside the kitchen. There’s a lot of history there to look at.

A tremendous thank you to all the volunteers who helped make our anniversary a huge success. It was an incredibly special day to remember forever. So many thanks to volunteers helping to prepare lunch, set up and clean up, greeters, ushers, musicians, choir and decorating.
We are so blessed with so many gifted members and feel privileged to be a part of this congregation who continue to inspire each other as we collaborate together for a common goal. The Spirit’s presence was very apparent on this 90th anniversary celebration. Thanks be to God.

NEWS FROM THE OFFICE
We have the offering envelopes for 2027. If you would prefer not to get any envelopes, please let me know as soon as possible. Also, if you don’t have envelopes but would like some, again, please let the office know. We have a few boxes of envelopes that haven’t been picked up.
We will be changing some numbers when we begin handing them out. This helps with our record keeping.
There are other options if you’d prefer to donate through direct deposit or etransfers. We will gladly help set that up.
Please let the office know of any changes to your address, phone numbers or email addresses so we can update our records.
EVENTS COMING UP AT PEACE:
Family Church: Friday, October 2 at 5:30 pm
We will begin with a relaxed style of worship followed by a potluck dinner and crafts for the kids.
Bible Study: Beginning Monday, October 5th at 6:30 pm we will begin our conversation surrounding Barbara Taylor Brown’s book; “An Altar in the World: A Study of Everyday Spiritual Practice”.
Bible Study: Beginning Wednesday, October 7th at 6:30 pm we will begin our study of the Gospel of Matthew.
Theology of JRR Tolkien: Starting Monday, November 16th at 6:30 pm Pastor Matt will be leading a 6-session class.

Dorcas Circle Annual Bake Sale: The bake sale will be held Friday, November 20th. More information to come.
Advent Tree Decorating and Potluck: The Witness Committee and the Ladies Bible Study are planning a potluck and decorating day. We will enjoy some food at 11:30 am and will decorate the tree at 12:30 pm. All are welcome.
